Preschool & TLC Kindergarten Summer Camp

Preschool Mornings at Creation Corner

Following are the descriptions of programs offered during morning sessions at Creation Corner. Programs are offered for children ages 18 months through Kindergarten.

Toddler Learning Center (TLC)

	? open 3 mornings per week (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays).
	? available to children ages 18 months to 3 years.
	? children need not be self-toileting, but must be walking independently.
	? 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
	? please park your cars in the marked spaces in the parking lot.
	? parents will bring children into the building upon arrival, and meet them inside for dismissal.

Preschool Class (PS)

Please note that five mornings will be available to children ages 3 to 5 provided there are six children enrolled and attending on each day. Enrollment is accepted throughout the summer and into the school year.

	? available to children ages 3 to 5 (must be self-toileting).
	? 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
	? parents may park in marked spaces to enter the building for arrival or dismissal.
	? parents may drive through the car line and drop children off at the north end of the building. where a teacher will greet you and safely escort your child inside.
	? car line is also used for dismissal – please put your child’s name in large letters on white paper. (8 ½ x 11), so that teachers can identify your car.
	? for the safety of our children, and the efficiency of this procedure, PLEASE do not leave your car. in the car line! You are free to walk to the classroom or chat with others if you park in the lot.

Basic Program: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays

	? a multi-faceted curriculum, presenting academics through the arts and Faith-based instruction.
	? parents may choose the days that children are scheduled to attend.
	? please be aware that children who do not attend on one of these days will not have the opportunity to acquire that instruction, including accompanying activities and projects.
	? the schedule, which may change for special events, holidays, or to accommodate teachers’ needs, is as follows:

Monday: music, and Faith-based instruction

Wednesday: art

Friday: creative movement

Additional Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays

	? open to children who are enrolled at least two other days
	? routine similar to other school days
	? special attention to kindergarten readiness
	? improvement of academic skills
	? additional attention to handwriting and science topics
	highly recommended for children entering kindergarten in the fall of the next school year
